Located just 20 minutes from the airport, it offers the perfect balance of secluded privacy and easy access to Grand Cayman’s best attractions. While the estate offers total tranquility, a sandy beach cove is just a five-minute walk away. This protected spot is a snorkeler's paradise, teeming with lobster and tropical fish. Eventually, the Mandarin Oriental will build a five-star hotel here, but until then, it's open to the public to enjoy. The heart of the villa is the expansive oceanfront pool deck, designed for an effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Step from the central great room directly to your private freshwater pool, surrounded by a wide sundeck and comfortable sun beds. For a break from the sun, the lush Zoysia grass lawn feels like velvet underfoot, while mature palms provide natural shade. Outdoor living is anchored by a classic gazebo, an idyllic spot for al fresco dining by the sea. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet sunset at the gazebo or hosting a group of 12 under the shaded veranda lounge, the turquoise Caribbean sea remains your constant backdrop. The home's seven bedrooms are spread across two levels, with four upstairs, two downstairs, and a detached studio suite above the garage. The studio suite is ideal for those who prefer to be under separate roofs from the rest of the group. Beach Notes On The Rocks estate is on an elevated rocky bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. In the evening it is not unusual to see cruise ships passing by on their way back to Jamaica or the USA. We have great panoramic views, however, you would not enter the beach from the rear of the house. This executive residential development of "Beach Bay" has about 12 homes like On The Rocks that all share a communal sandy beach cove with protected snorkeling just 400 yards east of the villa (3-minute walk). Parking is offered if you prefer to drive. The owner has six beach chairs for you to use and if you need more, please ask the manager. The beach offers a sandy entry into the water and multiple palm trees provide shade--no need to take an umbrella! As this is still a marine environment, we recommend either swim fins or stretchy water shoes to protect the feet from sharp shell shards, broken urchin spines, etc. The water is clear, and the bottom is sandy, but we still err on the side of caution. General Grand Cayman Beach Notes All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically “public” since the Queen owns up to the high watermark and the shoreline quality behind your property may vary seasonally. Be advised that the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website because of the weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use. Ocean Debris and Sargassum Seaweed Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. The owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. We try our best to work around mother nature.
