On a stunning promontory, once the site of an old stone fort, sits a remarkable Premier home named Fortlands Point. From its breathtaking location on the tip of the peninsula, the commanding view encompasses the turquoise water of Discovery Bay on one side and the deep blue Caribbean Sea on the other. The views are simply magnificent. The clear buoyant water and adjacent reefs are a paradise for snorkelers and divers. Just a few feet from the point, the protected reefs are a colorful coral world of Jackfish, Parrot Fish, Wrass, and Sergeant Majors. The stereophonic sound of waves lapping the coral and beaches lulls guests to sleep each night. Textures of teak, cedar, Italian tile, and Persian rugs complement the dramatic architecture. With families in mind, seven bedrooms (including two specifically for children) have been thoughtfully designed on individual split levels. The comfortable veranda is complete with a black granite bar, ice maker, and television. Sunset cocktail hours here drift into leisurely long dinners under the stars in any of five open air dining areas. Inside is the formal dining room with 100 year old 12' mahogany heirloom table. As a special treat, the staff will serve dinner on the very point itself followed by a seaside bonfire if you wish. Seven old cannons dot the two-acre grounds. Across the lawn is the indoor glass backed squash court. The adjacent mirrored fitness room includes a universal weight machine and elliptical cycle in a breezy space with a wonderful view of the sea. Child friendly, Fortlands Point offers two complimentary portacribs, one high chair, and games for children (and adults too). The DSS satellite television system includes Disney and other children's programming. In the yard are two swings, one set of rings, a slide, and a mini tree house.

The Fantastic Fortlands Point Villa

Rental Escapes absolutely nailed this villa recommendation. We stayed at Fortlands Point, Discovery Bay, Jamaica for a week at the end of December 2023. We were a group of 18 adults (three related families and friends). The house was perfect, with beautiful and spacious bedrooms, plenty of well laid out indoor and outdoor dinning and common areas, a very picturesque beach and pool, breathtaking water views on three sides of the property, plenty of toys, and a beautifully maintained property. The staff were super attentive and warm. We were incredibly well looked after in every facet of our stay (food, drinks, laundry, room / bathroom cleaning...). Everything was perfect

Once In A Lifetime That We Will Do Again!

This is the second vacation property we've found through Rental Escapes and were not disappointed. The pictures of the property do not do it justice, the grounds are immaculate and the house is also. We rented 7 of the 9 bedrooms and were able to pick our choices upon arrival - ended up with 2 in the cottage + 5 in the main house. The property sits at the top of Discovery Bay, so you get both the bay and ocean views, both spectacular! Plenty of paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling equipment available for use. We went out on the bay or ocean every day. The staff was amazing! Ask King to show you the almond trees - he has so much love for the grounds and it shows. Asa was very accommodating for our dietary requests - made us salad every day which is very un-Jamaican! He also worked around various allergies and aversions to provide us with delicious foods. We even had live lobsters delivered one day via boat. Sean was our head of house along with Jev and they took great care of us - even stepping in to fix our pre-arranged drink order that wasn't delivered properly. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our visit relaxing. The cottage is a great perk - it's a little separate from the main house - so it was nice to hang out there during some evenings to play pool or darts or watch tv. We visited over Super Bowl weekend & were able to watch the game there, and invited staff to join us. So fun! By far, the best part of this house are the multiple spaces to hang out. There are so many nooks and crannies - inside and out - you will never lack for a space to relax. With our group of 12 we had plenty of together spaces and also plenty enough space to have smaller groups. We will definitely be back!

Fortland's Point Villa - Absolutely Amazing!

The staff at Fortland's Point were Awesome Asa - Head Chef - EVERY meal was delicious and he had the best attitude and a great sense of humor! Sean & Ricardo - Our wish was their command, they made it happen! Best attitudes! Miss them already! Katie Lynn - made sure our rooms were emaculant! Judy - made me smile every time I saw her! Always happy and even cut a few moves on the dance floor with us! LOVED it! Rosa - made sure our clothes were perfect and we all looked great Red Dress Night This was the PERFECT team and the house we AMAZING! We loved every minute and can not wait too book it again!

Chafingo Club

We had an amazing time. Our only complaint and it was no one's fault was our chef got sick on day 2 and ended up in the hospital. So, the butlers and the laundresses cooked our meals. The food was mediocre. The house is incredible and the staff was amazing. We played "Chapin Family Bingo, or CHAFINGO" every day and they joined in with us. The beach was great and Gregory and Sean were very accommodating to our every need. They took us snorkeling, jet skiing, kayaking, etc... we had a great week and I would recommend this property to anyone!
